How To Sign Up For A My IGP Membership

How to Sign Up for a My IGP Membership?

Joining an IGP membership is quick and easy. Follow these simple steps to get started:

Step 1: Choose Your Membership Plan

Review our MyIGP memberships and select the membership plan that best suits your needs. We offer different tiers with varying benefits, so be sure to review each option before making your choice.

Step 2: Complete Your Online Payment

Once you’ve selected your preferred membership, follow the on-screen instructions to complete your subscription payment securely online.

Step 3: Check Your Email for a Short Questionnaire

After your payment is processed, you will receive an email containing a short questionnaire. This form collects your personal details, medical history, and any relevant information for your membership profile.

Step 4: Provide Details for Additional Members

If you have chosen a family or couple’s membership, you will need to add the contact details of any additional members. Each additional member will receive their own questionnaire via email to complete.

Step 5: Activation & Welcome Email

After submitting all questionnaires, we will add your details to our system. You will then receive a welcome email confirming your active membership and how to access your benefits.

The Independent General Practice (IGP) is a company that provides online and in clinic private GP appointments, vaccinations and medicals to individuals, families & businesses. Founded in 2004, IGP was the first exclusively Private GP services to be Healthcare (HIW) registered in Wales. IGP have brought together doctors, consultants, clinical psychologists, therapists, registered nurses and a host of specialists in order to give our patients the very best healthcare.

To help you understand what to expect and how our services work, we've compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions from our patients. Are There Are Additional Benefits In Becoming a My IGP member?

On making an appointment, all My IGP members will be highlighted by our diary system and given priority in appointments. Where no appointments are available, we will endeavour to either open an appointment for you, or where this is not possible, offer you a suitable alternative. It is our aim to offer our patients an appointment on the day an enquiry is made or within 24 hours of the enquiry.

MyIGP members will also receive either free of discounted vaccination, repeat prescriptions, test and/or screens.

By becoming a My IGP member, you can be assured that you will receive all the advantages of being a part of a quality private healthcare service. You can expect professional standards, quality assurance, convenient appointments, flexibility, fully confidential advice & treatments and a range of services to suit your healthcare needs and requirements.

Will It Affect My Relationship With My NHS GP If I become a My IGP member?

No, ultimately, it is the patient's health that GPs are most concerned with. We actively encourage you to remain registered with your NHS doctor, in most circumstances it is vital that you do. We can share our records with your NHS GP if you ask us to.

How Are IGP Regulated?

All doctors in the UK must be registered with the GMC (General Medical Council), who ensure doctors are qualified to work as doctors in the UK and have the necessary training and education. All private clinics who provide medical appointments or treatments in England and Wales need to be registered with CQC (Care Quality Commission) or HIW (Health Inspectorate Wales).

Do You Provide Appointments For Children?

Yes, we can see children from birth.

Can You Provide A Chaperone With My GP Appointment?

Yes, a chaperone can be provided if you require. If possible, please warn us in advanced so that we can make arrangements prior to the appointment.
