Appointment Information: If your questionnaire and photos suggest that treatment is appropriate, our team will advise on the most suitable treatment and expected cost before booking. Wart and verruca removal appointments are suitable for persistent or symptomatic lesions affecting the hands, feet, or other areas of skin. During your appointment, a clinician will confirm the diagnosis and carry out the most appropriate treatment, which may include cryotherapy or other minor procedures. You will also be advised on aftercare, healing time, and whether further treatments may be required.

Prior to your procedure, the wart, verruca, and surrounding area will be cleaned thoroughly to minimise any risk of infection. Cryotherapy, excision, or other techniques can be mildly uncomfortable; therefore, you will be given a local anaesthetic to numb the area and ensure your comfort during treatment. Once the anaesthetic has taken effect, the clinician will proceed with the removal. The method used is designed to minimise scarring and promote effective healing. Any aftercare instructions will be clearly explained to you to optimise recovery.
Prior to treatment, your wart or verruca will be assessed by our clinicians to confirm its suitability for removal. This process begins with an online assessment form that includes questions about your medical history and requests photos of the affected area. Our clinicians will review the information and determine the best course of action. Following this, you will either be booked for treatment or advised further. In some cases, a face-to-face consultation may be required for a more thorough evaluation.
At iGP, your safety and well-being are our priority. To ensure the highest standards of care, we are unable to perform minor surgery in certain cases. These include patients under 18 years of age or lesions located on the face or genitals. Wart and verruca removal is completely safe and carried out by qualified clinicians in a regulated clinical environment.
Local anaesthetic is used during the procedure to make it virtually painless. You may feel slight discomfort during recovery.
The wart or verruca will be permanently removed; however, new ones may develop over time due to the underlying cause, such as a viral infection.
Removal may leave a small scar. Your clinician will provide aftercare advice to minimise this.
We can remove warts or verrucas from most areas of the body except for the face or genitals.
If you cancel your appointment 24 hours before it starts, then you will receive a full refund. However, If you cancel your appointment within the 24 hour period before the appointment is due, then you will be liable to pay the cost of the consultation.
