For men with clinically diagnosed low testosterone, TRT can lead to improvements in:
TRT is a medical treatment that helps restore testosterone levels in men with low hormone production. It can improve symptoms such as fatigue, low mood, reduced libido, and poor concentration by safely restoring hormonal balance under clinical supervision.
Common symptoms include tiredness, low mood, reduced sex drive, poor focus, weight gain, loss of muscle strength, and disturbed sleep. If you’re experiencing any of these, a simple blood test can help identify if low testosterone is the cause.
We follow a structured clinical pathway. You’ll first have a specialist blood test to measure your testosterone levels. If your results indicate low levels, we’ll invite you for a full health screen and GP consultation to assess your suitability and rule out any underlying conditions.
Most men begin to notice improvements in energy, mood, and mental clarity within a few weeks. Physical benefits such as improved muscle tone, libido, and stamina typically develop over a few months with consistent treatment and monitoring.
Yes—when delivered under proper medical supervision. At IGP, we follow strict clinical protocols, including regular blood testing and GP reviews, to ensure your treatment is safe, appropriate, and continuously adjusted for your needs.
Possible side effects include acne, increased red blood cell count, mood changes, or testicular shrinkage. In rare cases, TRT can affect prostate health, which is why we conduct PSA tests and clinical checks before and during treatment.
At IGP, we typically start with prescribing testosterone gel, which is applied daily to the skin. Injections are also available based on clinical need or patient preference, but gel is often preferred as a starting point for consistent dosing and ease of use.
TRT can reduce sperm production and may affect fertility. If you’re planning to have children, please let us know—we’ll discuss alternative options or supportive treatments to protect your fertility.
Not necessarily. Some men use TRT as a long-term solution, while others may stop treatment under medical guidance if underlying causes improve. Your GP will discuss the best approach for your specific situation during regular reviews.
TRT is available on the NHS in certain cases, but access can be limited and waiting times vary. At IGP, we provide a private, fast-track service with advanced diagnostics and personalised care to help you feel better sooner.
