Copper coils are hormone-free and prevent pregnancy by releasing copper ions, while Mirena coils release hormones to prevent pregnancy and can also help with heavy periods.

How long do coils last?

Copper coils last up to 10 years, and Mirena coils last up to 5 years. Both can be replaced as needed.

How effective are implants?

Contraceptive implants are over 99% effective at preventing pregnancy and last up to 3 years.

Is the procedure painful?

Discomfort during insertion or removal is minimal. Local anesthetic is used to ensure your comfort throughout the procedure.

What aftercare is required?

What if I need to cancel?

If you cancel your appointment 24 hours before it starts, then you will receive a full refund. However, If you cancel your appointment within the 24 hour period before the appointment is due, then you will be liable to pay the cost of the consultation. If you do need to reschedule please contact us as soon as possible.
