Mr Lewis Meecham is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon based in Cardiff, specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of arterial and venous disease. His practice includes both minimally invasive and complex vascular procedures, such as varicose vein ablation, foam sclerotherapy, aortic aneurysm repair, and limb salvage surgery. With dual experience in NHS and private settings, he is committed to delivering timely, evidence-based care tailored to the needs of each individual.
After completing his medical degree at Cardiff University, Mr Meecham undertook his core and specialist surgical training in South Wales and the West Midlands, gaining experience in some of the UK’s leading centres for vascular surgery. He has contributed to national research trials, including BASIL 2 and BASIL 3, and is actively involved in developing integrated care services aimed at improving access and outcomes for patients at risk of limb loss.
Known for his clinical precision and compassionate approach, Mr Meecham continues to play a leading role in advancing vascular services in Wales. He is particularly focused on early intervention, collaborative care, and the use of modern techniques to enhance recovery and reduce complications.
In his spare time, he enjoys running, spending time with his family, and contributing to public health education.
